Ocean grew up between New York and the DMV and has recently returned home, where he’s been loving exploring DC again. 

He’s been working with animals since 2012, when he started volunteering at the Humane Society. Since then, his experience has taken him through dog daycares, private pet care, veterinary hospitals, and most recently, rescue management. Throughout it all, one thing has stayed the same: Ocean has always had a natural intuition for animals and a sensitivity to their emotions and thoughts. He loves getting to know each pet’s individual personality, quirks, and needs, and believes that great care starts with making an animal feel safe, understood, and genuinely loved.

In his free time, Ocean enjoys reading, writing, video games, drawing, and going on adventures with his own dog, Romeo.
