1. Welcome and Acceptance of Terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Fetch & Favor website at www.fetchandfavor.com and all pet care and home concierge services provided by Fetch & Favor LLC ("Fetch & Favor," "we," "us," or "our"), based in Washington, DC.
By visiting our website, booking a service, or opting in to receive text messages from us, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
In these Terms, "you" and "Client" mean the person booking services or using our website.
2. Our Services, Booking and Payment
Services. Fetch & Favor provides pet sitting, dog walking, overnight care, drop-in visits and related home concierge services. Service details, rates and availability are listed on our website or provided at booking, and may change from time to time.
Meet & greet. New clients complete a meet & greet before their first service so we can get to know your pet, your home and your routines. We may decline or end services at our discretion, including where a pet's behavior poses a safety risk to our team.
Bookings. A booking is confirmed only once we accept it in writing (by email, text or our booking system). We do our best to match you with your preferred sitter, but assignments may change based on availability.
Cancellations. For daytime services such as walks and drop-in visits, please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel. Cancellations made with less notice may be charged the full price of the service.
For overnight stays, including any walks or drop-ins booked as part of the stay, cancellations made within 48 hours of the start of the stay are charged 50% of the total price of the stay. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the start are charged the full price. Holiday bookings follow the same policy.
Payment. For trips and overnight stays, payment is due at the end of the stay. For recurring and daytime services, such as regular walks, payment is due each Sunday for the previous week's services. For bookings over $1,000 or longer than 7 days, we may invoice 50% of the total up front. Holiday, last-minute, and additional-pet rates may apply.
3. Client Responsibilities, Pet Care and Liability
Accurate information. You agree to give us complete, accurate information about your pet's health, behavior, medications, feeding and any history of biting or aggression, and to update us when anything changes.
Vaccinations. Pets must be current on all vaccinations required by DC law, including rabies, and on flea and tick prevention.
Veterinary care. If your pet becomes ill or injured in our care, we will try to reach you and your emergency contact first. If we cannot reach you, you authorize us to arrange transport for your pet to your listed veterinarian or the nearest emergency clinic. You are responsible for all veterinary costs.
Home access. You authorize Fetch & Favor staff to enter your home to perform booked services. Keys, codes and access details are stored securely and used only for your services. Please let us know about any alarm systems, other residents, or areas of the home that are off-limits.
Home and property. We take great care in your home, but we are not responsible for pre-existing conditions or ordinary wear, such as plumbing, appliance, or electrical issues, that are not caused by our negligence. Please report any concern to us within 72 hours of the service so we can make it right.
Limitation of liability. Animals can be unpredictable, and even with the best care, accidents and illness can happen. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fetch & Favor is not responsible for illness, injury, loss or damage that is not caused by our negligence. Except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct, our total liability for any claim related to a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have that cannot be waived under District of Columbia law.
Insurance. Fetch & Favor is insured through the Pet Sitters International program, underwritten by Century Surety Company, and bonded. A certificate of insurance is available on request.
Indemnification. You agree to cover any claims, costs or damages arising from your pet's behavior, including injury to our staff or third parties, or from inaccurate information you provided.
4. SMS / Text Messaging Terms
Program name. Fetch & Favor Client Updates.
What you'll receive. By providing your mobile number and opting in, you agree to receive text messages from Fetch & Favor about your services, including booking confirmations, appointment reminders, schedule changes, visit updates and photos of your pet, billing notices, and customer service replies. We do not send promotional texts.
How you opt in. You can opt in by checking the SMS consent box on our booking or contact form, by texting us first, or by giving verbal or written consent to our team. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchasing any service.
Message frequency. Message frequency varies based on your bookings. You may receive several messages a day during an active booking and none when you have no services scheduled.
Cost. Message and data rates may apply. Fetch & Favor does not charge for text messages, but your mobile carrier's standard rates apply.
Opting out. You can cancel at any time by replying STOP to any message. You may also reply QUIT, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, REVOKE, or OPT OUT. You'll receive one final message confirming you've been unsubscribed. To rejoin, reply START.
Help. Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us at admin@fetchandfavor.com or (202) 350-1103.
Carriers. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy. No mobile information will be shared or sold with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. See our Privacy Policy for details.
5. Website Use, Changes and Contact
Website content. All content on our website, including text, photos and logos, belongs to Fetch & Favor and may not be copied or used without our permission. Photos of your pet taken during services may be shared with you and, with your consent, on our social media.
Acceptable use. You agree not to misuse our website, attempt to access it without authorization, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
Privacy. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal information.
Changes to these Terms. We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of our website or services means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts located in Washington, DC.
